I had a meeting last night and when I got home, this is what I found! I'm so blessed to come home to these guys every day! Brandon is such a great daddy!

When we went on vacation to Cozumel, we were going to be celebrating Tyler's nine month birthday! I came up with the idea to get Tyler's t-shirts from the Tyler's store here in Dallas. Everyone wears Tyler's t-shirts and they have TONS of them to choose from. We picked them up and took one of my all time favorite pictures! My mom's boss saw the picture and encouraged her to send it to the store! She e-mailed them and they LOVED the picture....and here it is on their website! LOVE it! Happy 1st Birthday, Tyler Vaughn Shirack!!

My Sweet Little Man
You probably don’t remember where you were this time last year but I surely do. You were inside my tummy….and you must’ve been standing up in there because you made mommy’s tummy HUGE! I remember waking up on the day you were born and feeling SO excited. I honestly don’t think I felt scared a bit….now your daddy, that’s another story….We were just ready to see your face….to see the little body that had been squirming around inside me….everything was pretty calm and then BAM, there you were….I heard your cry and fell madly in love….with you, my Tyler Vaughn Shirack….after they cleaned and warmed you up, you were the most laid back little baby…..the feeling I had when they put you in my arms was INCREDIBLE…..you fit perfectly….and your face was THE cutest face I’d ever seen….and you smiled….that first day, you smiled….right then I knew….you were the best gift God had given your daddy and me….and we were SO glad He chose us to be your mommy and daddy….and here we are ONE YEAR LATER….I can’t believe my sweet baby boy is ONE…..this year has been AWESOME….and you’re the primary reason for it, little man…..you’ve made every single day a memory….you’ve brought such a joy into all of our lives and every life that meets you…..you are STILL the happiest baby I’ve ever seen…..your smile lights up the room and melts my heart….your mommy is NOT a morning person, but you’ve changed that…..waking up to your dimples is the best way to start my day….you are seriously THE best baby….you hardly ever cry and you’re SO fun to be around….you HATE missing anything and you’re SO nosy….no clue where that comes from….you are the favorite kid of everyone you meet….I remember your first day of daycare….I cried all the way to work….I didn’t want to miss anything….and I was jealous of those daycare ladies getting to spend the whole day with you….but once I got to know them and they got to know you….I felt SO much better….they love you bunches little man….everyone does….from taking you to Santa for the first time, to the Easter Bunny, to the Pumpkin Patch and your first Halloween….every moment with you has been unforgettable….and a BLAST….I can remember the first time you had baby food….then crackers….then table food….you’re not the cleanest eater, but you sure are the cutest…..there has yet to be a baby that is as content and happy as you are….when you wrinkle your nose and show your little teefers, we can’t help but smile with you….you don’t just make us happy, you bring us joy….it’s not just an outward feeling, but an inward emotion….I love each and every thing about you….I love how you point your little finger when trying to pick up something…..I love how you lean in when I ask for “kisses”….I love that you dance every time music comes on…..I love that you find drums in every toy you have…..I love that you make your daddy so proud….you make me proud too, little man…..we are and will always be your biggest fans…..cheering on your poopie diapers, your standing tall by yourself, your climbing on the ottoman, and there will be TONS more things that you’ll do that we’ll go crazy over….you have completely made our life Tyler Vaughn Shirack…..you’ve been the best baby boy your mommy and daddy could ever ask for….we’re SO blessed to be able to watch you grow, watch you learn, watch you become the man God created you to be…..we love you Tyler Vaughn…..we can’t wait for TONS more years and memories with you……

Tyler's FIRST birthday party...a little early!

WARNING! Long blog with TONS of pictures! But, your kiddo only turns ONE once, right? We celebrated yesterday because I have a conference next Saturday that I wasn't able to cancel, but having an early costume party for Tyler's birthday worked out great! We have been to Indoor Safari Park several times and thought it would be a perfect place for kiddos of different ages. They have train rides, mechanical animals that really move around, TONS of play areas and a perfect party area in the back! Since Tyler has a safari or elephent theme in his room, this place was perfect! The kids were able to dress in their costumes for awhile and we got great pics of them, but later they were able to just play and have a great time! It was an incredible day for our entire family and especially our little man!

The kids got to pick their instruments for a parade to the trains!Train rides for everyone! An attempt to take a group photo shot with pumpkin suckers...we tried! Mechanical animal rides; they really moved and went around the safari...SO cool!Cake time!He had it EVERYWHERE!Free play time....the kiddos loved the ball area and took a few extra train rides too!PRESENTS!Tyler's birthday gift from us! Our first Harvest Festival with our little elephant man!

Last night, we made our way to our first Harvest Festival with Tyler. We had been looking forward to this since last year, when I thought he was going to come early! (Boy was I wrong!) We've had his costume for months and couldn't wait to get him dressed up and out with the other kids. The place was packed and Pastor Robert said there were 20,000 people there! Once inside, there was age-related games for all the kiddos to play. Tyler had a blast in the "Wee Ones' area and he got to ride his first pony! It was such a great time with the family and our little elephant man!

We have been looking forward to taking little man to visit the Pumpkin Patch this year and today was the perfect day for it! After church, we went to Hall's Pumpkin Farm and let Tyler see the pumpkins. He was SO excited and had a BLAST!! Afterward, we went to Texas Roadhouse with the family and little man was wiped out! We came home and have LOVED watching football with our sweet punkin'!

Busy...but FUN weekend!

Yesterday was SO much fun! One of my good friends from Bible College came into town so we got some of the girls together for lunch! Tamisha was visiting for a conference and hadn't gotten to meet Tyler! We met in Cedar Hill and had a great lunch and tried to catch up on life...even for a little while! Tyler and Malachi played as much as they could; they're three weeks apart and are both getting ready to turn ONE! Can't believe it!!

GiGi took Tyler to spend the night and after church, we went to the Mavs game to watch them play a pre-season game with the Cavaliers...we were excited to see Labron and Shaq...but bummed that neither played! We ended up leaving early and going to Dave & Buster's with Bri and Ken and hanging out! It was fun getting together with everyone but we were SO ready to get little man home with us! He had another tooth come in over the weekend....we're at 7 now!

Such a smart boy!!

We LOVE Tyler's day care!! Having him there has made going back to work so much easier for us both! He gets such quality care and we are at peace that he's there! I love when I pick him up they always tell me how happy he is and that he always has awesome days! [Well, except that he steals pacifiers! LOL!] Yesterday, when I picked him up, they showed me a picture they'd taken of little man. He decided he wanted to get on the rocking chair, so he drug one of the foam pyramids over to the rocker, stepped up on it and climbed on the chair, standing up. Now they were watching him the whole time to make sure he didn't hurt himself, and when he stood up, they took his picture! They were amazed at how resourceful he was! We're going to have to watch our little man....we might just have a climber on our hands!!
